Arizona Immigration Law Stamp by MetalShadowOverlord Arizona Immigration Law Stamp by MetalShadowOverlord
Arizona state law on Illegal Immigration: [link]

Some statistics about illegal immigration: [link]

Abraham Lincoln said during the Civil War that "A house divided cannot stand". Well, if America is indeed the house that he spoke of, then illegal immigrants are the termites.

Why do I call them termites? Well, think of it this way:

If a person comes into your house uninvited, regardless of his intention, whether it is to steal something or enjoy an afternoon snack with you, he is still a trespasser because he came into your home uninvited. In other words, he came into your home without going through the proper procedures, which would be to knock on the door and ask if he may enter.

In other words, he entered your home illegally.

However, for the sake of argument, that this person did come into your home uninvited. What do you do with him? Would you really say, "Well, I don't know who you are and you came into my home uninvited, but you can stay, eat my food and take up space without having to worry about a thing. I'll even give you some of my paycheck!"?

No one in their right mind would do such a thing.

Let's look at it from another perspective, this time, instead of using a person, we'll use an insect.

If an insect comes into your home and you notice it, do you say, "Well, it's not hurting anyone right now, so it's safe to just let it roam around and do as it pleases."? No. you would either kill the insect or you would "deport" it to the outdoors where it came from.

Some would call the exterminator, but, in the case of the American government, the exterminator is saying that if he does kill the insect, then he is profiling the insect. Now, if a real exterminator did that, you can be sure he'd be out of a job rather quickly.

It is no longer about illegal immigration, but invasion, and the government is doing virtually nothing about it.

EDIT: To avoid further confusion, I am not calling immigrants "insects". I am simply making a comparison. If I truly believe that immigrants were insects and woth nothing, then America, to me, would be nothing, for was it not built by the sweat and blood of immigrants?

However, that is not the case, for I love my country, and I love immigrants, but I don't like illegal immigrants!

Criminal invaders do not deserve amnesty or taxpayer-funded benefits.

We need drones and machine gun turrrents near the mexican/american border. Also all illegal immigrant activity near the border should be reported immedietly to the main guards, and all mexicans attempting to cross the border are to be stopped on site

And the country they come from? Its very, very unsafe. I don't know about you, but my priorities are to my family, and if they were in danger, I'd do exactly what they do. And what about the children, who've lived here their whole life? Who are more AMERICAN than they are their own heritage? It isn't their fault, regardless of your stance on the acts of their parents.

We don't have the proper means to support kids of illegal immigrants. We are sorry about their country not being safe, but they can go somewhere else. Loosening up these immigration laws will lead to bad things. Do you want a terrorist to come here easily? Take a look at the underwear bomber who nearly blew himself up over American skies.

We claim to be one of the greatest countries. We were BUILT on immigration, on people looking for a better, safer life. Maybe you're right, but regardless, we have become the opposite of everything that we founded this nation on.

Citizens of the United States have rights. CITIZENS. So what do our rights and our identity mean if we hand them out to everyone who comes in?

Their country sucks? THAT'S THEIR FUCKING PROBLEM, NOT OURS.

Hey, immigrants founded this country. If I hate immigrants, you could say that I, essentially, hate America. As you stated, I just hate it when they come here illegally.

No.
Just no.
The world belongs to everyone, and we stand divided among it. We are pushing people out of what we think is 'ours' when truly, it should be free to everyone.
Also, here's everything else that's wrong with your statements, around the analogy with the illegal intruder.

1. "Eat your food" Well, that's ironic all right. They don't eat your food, you idiot- they PICK it. Those jobs people claim they're stealing are usually things like working in hot fields for little pay, custodian jobs, day care, things that either most middle-class Americans would hate, or jobs that work for middle-class Americans.
2. "Take up space" I know, they take up all that space while they're stuffed into ghettos because they can't get a better job that pays more to move into a bigger house. And don't act like the rest of Americans don't take up space. Or even better, that we HAVE NONE. Just saying, but we're not exactly running out of space (personally, I think that sucks that we're running out of natural space). Also, not having to worry about a thing? Oh no, they only have to worry about: being deported so they can't care for their families (which due to lack of access to birth control or religious views tend to be large), racism, police brutality towards minorities, as well as being classed in with 'gangs' and the like. Seriously guys, not all Hispanics are gang members, nor should they be classified as such. They risk a lot coming here.
3. "I'll even give you some of my paycheck" Oh, that's rich. Did you read about the jobs up there? Their jobs suck, and, no, most of them can't get any money from the government and taxes because they're illegal.

I looked at the comments below, and noticed a lot of people are illegal or legal immigrants who are disagreeing with you. I'd just like to point out, I'm not. Most people who disagree with you have gone through something like it; ones who agree are people who haven't.
I have lived in America my entire life, and I am Caucasian, and I support illegal immigration, not only for my great grandmother but for everyone who has a dream of a better life, whether American or anywhere else.

what about people that were brought here as children and grew up here? they can speak english perfectly and some even managed to graduate high school at the top of their class...yes I one of them I had no choice - I was 3 . would you blame the child of a murderer? or a bank robber? would you condemn them to the same sentence as their parents?

Well, I agree with this stamp and I am an illegal. My situation, like yours, is not unique: Was brought here when I was like, 5 or 6. And when I found out I was illegal it was like every door to my future was shut in my face. The money that my mom payed coyotes to get us here could have gone instead to start her path to citizenship and then it would have been easier for her to get us here LEGALLY.
!elikapeka-coconut is right, the ones who are most angry about illegals are the ones who actually went through the proper procedures to become legal. The law does not care if you are a well-behaved illegal, and that is what some of my relatives can't seem to grasp. The ILLEGAL part.
They act like it's some racist agenda when really the dudes are just doing their jobs, the ones who came to process me and my sister were very polite. I felt like I was going to cry when I saw them at the door but their courtesy calmed me down. They made it seem like getting me fingerprinted and having my mug shot taken was not a big deal.
I hope that when my court date comes around, the judge gives me a chance to apply for citizenship. Since it's really going to be up to the judge to decide wether to chuck me back to Mexico or keep me here, I hope the fact that I have never used a fake social or gotten in trouble with the law at all(aside from being here illegally, of course) works in my favor because I want to go to college to pursue a worthless art degree. (^.^)

Honestly, I don't see the problem in deporting them when they have a criminal record but seriously? You're gonna hate someone for crossing an invisible line in the stand? Especially for the people that were brought to the US as little kids, the US is the only home they know. Everyone is raging because they are illegal and whatnot and yet people will do everything in their power to prevent them from getting a legal status. I say that if they have been in or are in school, they are working or have worked for the majority of the time and they've been in the US for 10 or more years and they don't have any criminal records, why not help them get legalized? Especially the students that are undocumented and no I don't consider this "spoiling" the immigrants, it's just giving them a chance, they are working hard if not harder than some other students so why not help them out.

I agree, and that's what's written in the law. The authors of the law don't care about well behaved illegals. They want to get rid of the criminals.

Interestingly enough, the people that I know who get MOST angry about illegal immigrants are my friends from Guyana, South America. They followed every procedure correctly and did everything they should've, and it was really hard, so they get super-angry when someone doesn't take those steps. They help sponsor their relatives, too. I think what a lot of people don't realize is that it does an injustice to legal immigrants who are US citizens when illegal immigrants come into the country.
