Description
I really have no idea what inspired me to make these, but I guess it's just the Christmas spirit doing it's thing.
From left to right:
Festive Ball: A green pokeball with a string of lights around it and a star on top. The bulbs light up despite no visible power source. It jingles when thrown.
Snowglobe Ball: A pokeball that has a snowglobe in the top lid. It makes the sound of jinglebells ringing when thrown.
Gingerbread Ball: A tastey-looking heavy ball designed to look like it's made of gingerbread. Despite being inedible, trainers often joke that it is "heavy in calories".
Magi Ball: A pokeball pained like a starry winter night. A bright star is painted on the button, symbolizing the Star of Bethlehem.
Holly Ball: A bright red pokeball with holly leaves jutting out from the back. They're toxic, so don't eat them. The holly, not the pokeball, though eating the pokeball might not be a smart idea either.
Peppermint Ball: A red and white striped pokeball. It smells of mint, but tastes like metal.
Present Ball: A pokeball that comes in a variety of colors that is perfect for those who plan to give their friend of loved one a pokemon for Christmas.*
Holiday Megastones**:
Christmasnite: A holly jolly hard candy colored like a mega stone. It tastes like peppermint.
Hanukkahnite: A Festival of Lights candy shaped and colored like a mega stone. It oddly tastes like chocolate.
Newyearnite: A festive mega stone candy. It is colored gold and silver for New Years Day and red for the Chinese New Year.
Since December has only just begun, I'm thinking I might make others. We'll see how the Christmas spirit affects me this month. XD
Other custom pokeballs I've done:
*The colors are actually based on the five different gift boxes that ones could select on Vdex when sending a user a holiday greeting.
**I actually can explain how I was inspired to do this. I remember looking at a picture that contained all the megastones that currently exist and thought, "I wonder if I could make megastones based on all the holidays of the year". No clue where the idea actually came from, but I came up with a way to rationalize their existence: they aren't real megastones, but seasonal candies that only look like megastones.
