Jesus Christ - God of No Fun

     In the early days, Christianity played a big role in society.  Families went to church together and priests were one of the most trusted people in the community.  Now the priest is stereotyped to be a pedophile, the Church is considered the whore of Babylon and the pope the anti-Christ.  And this all came about because of our unwillingness to practice the good morals that we have cast aside.
     Given that I am defending christianity, you may think that I will accuse Darwin and Atheism for this corruption, but I will do no such thing.  Darwin only tried to scientifically discover how man may have become the bipedal, upright being that he is today, and Atheism itself doesn't destroy morals, but some of the people who practice it do.  How can this be, you ask?
     Well, if one wishes to discover the answer, simply look up Atheist youtubers.  The Mysterious Atheist, as an example, seems to try to convince people that there being no Hell or God is something to rejoice about.  Why?  This is because he (and he even states this in his video) that he was once Catholic but feared Hell so much that he became Atheist.  If a christian fears Hell, then this fault is his own.  We ought to pay as much attention to the Devil and Hell as we do the passing wind.  We will be overwhelmed if we focus only on the negatives of something and, like the Mysterious Atheist, give up.
     It is because of people like the Mysterous Atheist and the liberal secularists that people are convinced that a Hell doesn't exist.  Why is this a bad thing?  Because what is to prevent people from doing evil?  If there is no punishment, there is no sense in doing good and the reinforcement of values goes unchecked.  People have convinced themselves that Christianity is all about total perfection and if you commit even the tiniest sin, then you're going straight to Hell.
     With homosexuality being accepted, the reputation of Christianity hasn't gotten any better.  The same mentality of hate applies.  Simply because the warning of not lying in bed with a man as one would with a woman is in the book of Leviticus and the Sodom and Gomorrah story, people are convinced that Christianity hates gays.  Well, God started the great flood because people were doing pagan things, but now the Catholic Church embraces pagans because of what was said in Vatican II: They are baptised through the desire to worship.
     Sexual promiscuity is one major problem in the world, and Christians have been on it like a hunting dog on the scent of prey, attacking abortion, contraception and sex before marriage, and, still, the Christian Church is scoffed at.  People say that no one ought to listen to the pope, but when Pope Benedict XVI spoke out against condom usage, everyone attacked him saying he didn't care about the youth of America, STDs, or the AIDS in Africa issue.  One deviant actually depicted Jesus, naked on the cross, with a condom on his erect penis and under it it said, "God is love". (Which got him temporarily suspended, surprisingly) Apparently, sex has become the ultimate form of "love" in this world and nothing else matters except who you're going to tap next.
     We do our best not to offend other people in this country, yet we do a number of the Christians.  It is peculiar how defaming the Catholic Church has become widely accepted, but no one will make fun of, say, the Muslims.  Why?  Because they will get a gun pointed to their face afterwards.  (Swedish Political Cartoon, anyone?)  The Catholic Church teaches that we shouldn't be like that, and that's why it's ok to make fun of it - there is no consequence.
     We have convinced ourselves that the old stereotype back in the days when Irish immigrants flooded the US that the Catholic Church wishes to rule the world.  We are convinced that a moral code and honor are things of the past and ought to be ignored in this culture of death and narcassism.  Finally, we are convinced that the Catholic Church, one of many organizations trying to help this world, is the one making it worse even though guilty party is the one who says so.

     Bashing the Catholic Church and all of Chrisitanity has become the new baseball - it's America's favorite passtime, and the moral value system collapses and the wisdom of the past is lost as our elderly, the ones who remember what america once was, are being executed one by one in hospital beds and left to rot in nursing homes, are put into the ground one by one, along with the millions of developing humans who were not even given the chance at true life, all for the sake of convenience, comfort, and to stick it to the Big Man upstairs.
