Yes, I realize I just posted a journal a little while ago, but I was just shown this and, needless to say, am outraged by how people are misrepresenting this bill.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=jX_igA…

Seriously, you say the slightest peep against gays and you're immediately a hater.  I'm sorry, but, if gays can get their own friends suspended for just saying they dislike the homosexual lifestyle WITHOUT even saying anything about it being a damnable sin ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucM6dC… gotta love the title of this video, which proves my point ) then I should be able to say whatever about it within reason.

Also, the bill states that it would give students the right to SPEAK OUT AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY.  Since when did "speaking against" something become so damnable?  And I love how the "gay rights" activists are saying that "this will send a message that it's ok to hate" and that you can say whatever you want as long as you say it's based on religion.  Uh, first off, we already have freedom of speech in the constitution, BUT there are limits to it.  You can say, "The president sucks", but you can't shout "fire" in a crowded theater.  Why?  Because shouting "fire" in a crowded theater will endanger people.

Now, how does this apply to the bill?  First off, if this is extending free speech to people who want to express an opinion against homosexuality, then there would obviously be reasonable limits.

Should I be allowed to say that, in accordance with my religion and possibly my own opinion, homosexual behavior is sinful?  Yes.
Should I be allowed to say that, in accordance with my own personal opinion, regardless of religion, that I dislike homosexual behavior?  Yes.
Should I be allowed to say that, in accordance with my own personal opinion, regardless of religion, that I want to stab Bobby because he happens to prefer the company of other men so that he may engage in sodomy with them? No.

The last one is the exact same as shouting "fire" in a crowded theater, since it not only is a personal attack on an individual, but it's also a threat which may or may not be carried out and has, regardless if it's serious or not, instilled fear in the individual, which is by no means acceptable.  However, it would appear as though simply saying, "I disagree" is enough to send "gay rights" activists into a tizzy because God only knows it just takes disagreement to make some gay kid off himself.

Seriously, I predict that, sometime in the future, that if a gay person asks you to bend over so he can sodomize your straight ass, it'll be called hate to deny him his request.
